CCSS Website
Project Overview
CCSS Repair is a commercial kitchen repair business that relied heavily on word-of-mouth and direct communication with customers. The client approached me with a clear and specific request: create a simple, effective website that would make it easier for customers to get in touch. Unlike many modern business sites, the goal was not to add complex features, but to streamline communication and centralize information.
The Problem
Before the website, CCSS Repair lacked a dedicated digital presence, making it difficult for customers to reliably find contact information. This created friction in the customer journey—potential clients had to rely on scattered sources like social media or personal referrals. Additionally, many website solutions today prioritize features like online booking systems, which the client explicitly did not want. The challenge was to design a site that avoided unnecessary complexity while still feeling professional, trustworthy, and modern.
Goals
The primary goals for this project were:
Create a clean, accessible website focused on direct communication
Highlight essential contact methods (phone number and social media)
Maintain a simple user experience without overwhelming users with features
Modernize the brand’s visual identity while preserving its original character
Establish a professional online presence that builds trust with new customers
Solution
I designed and developed the CCSS Repair website using Squarespace, focusing on clarity, simplicity, and usability. The layout was intentionally minimal, guiding users directly to the most important action: contacting the business.
To elevate the brand visually, I redesigned the existing logo in Adobe Illustrator, refining its structure and improving its scalability while keeping its original essence intact. I also introduced a cohesive color palette to give the site a more modern and polished feel without sacrificing its straightforward nature.
The site architecture was kept intentionally simple, with clear sections and strong visual hierarchy to ensure users could immediately find the contact information they needed.
In addition, I set up a custom domain email address for the business, creating a more professional communication channel and improving overall credibility.
Impact & Outcome
The redesigned website significantly improved how customers interact with CCSS Repair. By removing friction and prioritizing direct contact, the site made it easier for users to reach the client quickly and confidently.
According to the client, customer engagement increased by approximately 50%, driven largely by the improved accessibility of contact information. Customers responded positively to the site’s simplicity and clarity, reinforcing that a focused, user-centered approach can be more effective than feature-heavy solutions.
Overall, the project demonstrates how thoughtful design and strategic simplicity can create meaningful business impact—especially for small businesses that rely on direct, efficient communication.
